Spiritualized's Jason Pierce 'not interested' in reforming Spacemen 3

Pierce adds that he's working on a new Spiritualized album

December 4, 2009 Jason Pierce has quashed rumours that his former band Spacemen 3 are set to reunite.

Pierce explained that relations between him and Peter Kember, who he co-founded the band with in 1982, are still hostile following their 1991 split. Pierce also told The Sun that he'd recently been asked to reform the band to play an ATP festival, an offer which he said he "wasn't interested" in pursuing.

"The split was so acrimonious and my view of him hasn't changed," Pierce explained, adding: "No, I've not mellowed about him."

He went on to reveal more details of the new Spiritualized album, which could be released in 2010, saying: "We're recording at the moment. I want to say it will be out next year but I don't know yet. But it sounds great, really great."

The group's last album was 2008's 'Songs In A&E'.

Spiritualized's reissued box set version of 1997 album 'Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space' was released on Monday (November 30).

Notes on the Christian Imagination

In Christianity neither morality nor religion comes into contact with reality at any point. Nothing but imaginary causes: god, soul, ego, spirit, free-will or unfree-will. Nothing but imaginary effects: sin, redemption, grace, punishment, forgiveness of sins. A traffic between imaginary beings: god, spirits, souls. An imaginary natural science: anthropocentric, complete lack of the concept of natural causes. An imaginary psychology: nothing but self-misunderstandings, interpretations of pleasant or unpleasant general feelings. For example, the condition of the nervous sympathicus with the aid of sign language of religio-moral idiocyncracy: repentance, sting of conscious, temptation by the devil, the proximity of god. An imaginary teleology: the kingdom of god, the last judgement, eternal life. This purely fictitious world is distinguished from the world of dreams very much to its disadvantage by the fact that the latter mirrors actuality while the former falsifies, disvalues and denies actuality. Once the concept "nature" has been devised as a concept antithetical to god, "natural" had to be the word for reprehensible. This entire fictional world has its roots in hatred of the natural actuality. It is the expression of a profound discontent with the actual. But that explains everything. Who alone has reason to lie himself out of actuality? He who suffers from it. But to suffer from actuality means to be an abort of actuality. The preponderance of feelings of displeasure over feelings of pleasure is the cause of a fictitious morality and religion. Such a preponderance however provides the formula for decadance.

I have to say this EP is an interesting piece of music with really cool textures and micro-rythms that can remind us the glorious days of Evamuss, but he adds to the mix some strange melodies and a feeling that perhaps can be a trademark of La Oroya.
I will have to travel to La Oroya someday, man.

El bipolar "paranoide" con delirios de (persecución), por lo general piensan que todos están en su contra o no responden a sus exigencias, así también creen que quieren coartar sus proyectos por envidia, maldad, o interferencia. En términos psiquiátricos, esto se llama ciclos rápidos o acelerados y ciclos lentos, respectivamente. Los ciclos ultrarápidos, en donde el ánimo cambia varias veces a la semana (o incluso en un día), suelen ocurrir en casos aislados, pero es ciertamente una variable real del trastorno. Estos patrones de cambios de ánimo son asociados con ansiedad y altos riesgos de suicidios.

El trastorno bipolar es comúnmente tratado con medicación acompañada de terapia psiquiátrica....

Algunos estudios han sugerido una relación correlativa entre la creatividad y el trastorno bipolar.
Con todo, la relación entre ambas todavía permanece incierta.
Hay un estudio que muestra un incremento en la creatividad, con lo cual el individuo logra obtener ciertas metas y objetivos.

El diagnóstico se basa en las experiencias de las que informa el propio paciente
así como anormalidades en la conducta referidas por los miembros de la familia,
amigos o compañeros de trabajo, seguido por los signos secundarios observados por
un psiquiatra, enfermera, trabajador/a social, psicólogo clínico u otro diagnosticador cualificado mediante una evaluación clínica. Existe una lista de criterios que se deben cumplir para que alguien reciba el diagnóstico. Éstos dependen tanto de la presencia como de la duración de determinados signos y síntomas.
